If you have time and energy I hope you will download it and get a little impression of our very interesting tour to China in September, where we were the guests of the ACWF (All China Women’s Federation) for 10 days.
I don’t only send it to you for information about this trip, but also as a wake-up for us all to be aware of this new social media, as it MUST be one of the steps forward to promote our activities and projects in Soroptimist International.
I – myself – am still a novice in this matter, but when I look at Yoko’s presentation, I can see the aspects of broader communication in a very easy and cheap way. It is really a tool to get into contact with a much bigger audience and to promote the big work we are doing for women and girls.I encourage us all to make use of those medias in our future communication!
I use this opportunity to thank many of you for nice hospitality, warm friendship and inspiring programmes during my travels, conferences and visits “here and there”. I have met so much kindness and strong passion for our goals, that I feel very confident for the future of our organization.
Through the advanced search on the SI PFR data base two days ago, I noticed that Soroptimists worldwide since 1st of January 2010 have collected 6.024.799 $, have helped 2.088.789 women and 1.248.707 girls and have written 3.471 PFR’s (Programme Focus Reports.) Well done to us all!
